Transitions
The Big Sur Marathon marked the end of full marathon training* and the true beginning of triathlon training season. I have neglected the pool for the past several weeks and it is time to get back at it. I also need to hit the open road on the bike. My friend, who is also training for his first 70.3, plans to lay down a century ride during his training. My plan is to train up to at least one 50 miler and a 60 miler. Any comments/recommendations on this approach?
It is hard to believe that I ran a marathon 5 days ago. My body almost feels back to normal. Workouts this week: Mon/Tues/Fri rest. Wed spin, Thurs 5 miles tempo followed by spin. Tomorrow 7 miles easy. Sunday spin
*Just for now. I may be plotting a fall race. We shall see…
